Dhaka, April 15 -- Bangladesh has recorded another death from measles in the last 24 hours, when two more people died with symptoms of the viral disease.
Announcing the latest fatalities on Wednesday, the Directorate General of Health Services said the nationwide toll has reached 198 since Mar 15.
According to official estimates, 76 new measles cases have been reported, while 666 people -- including 205 in Dhaka -- were hospitalised nationwide in the 24 hours until 8am.
During the same period, 1,032 people sought treatment at hospitals with measles symptoms.
Of the total death toll, 32 were confirmed measles cases, while 166 were suspected patients.
