Bangladesh, July 5 -- Bangladesh has recorded deaths of seven more children with measles symptoms in a 24-hour count.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), it is the highest daily toll over the past 10 days.

The last higher figure was reported on Jun 25, when nine children died with measles symptoms.

In its bulletin issued on Sunday, the health directorate said 93 people have died from confirmed measles since Mar 15, while 645 others died with symptoms of the viral disease.

Dhaka recorded the highest symptom-linked death toll at 278, followed by Rajshahi with 88, Sylhet 85, Mymensingh 62, Chattogram 53, Barishal 41, Khulna 29 and Rangpur 9.
