Dhaka, July 1 -- Bangladesh has posted a record $35.56 billion in remittances in the 2025-26 fiscal year, as resilient inflows from expatriates more than offset a slowdown in the final month.

According to Bangladesh Bank, remittance inflows totalled $30.33 billion in FY2024-25.

The strong momentum seen in recent months, however, weakened in June, the last month of the fiscal year.

Bangladeshis living abroad sent home $2.81 billion during June, the lowest monthly figure in eight months and 0.60 percent lower than in the same month a year earlier, when remittances stood at $2.822 billion.
