Dhaka, June 6 -- Bangladesh have made history by securing their first-ever victory against a European team on their soil.

Thomas Dooley's side came from behind to beat San Marino 2-1 in an international friendly at San Marino Stadium in Serravalle on Friday.

Topu Barman scored twice to overturn a first-half goal conceded through weak defending.

Topu netted the first goal in the 19th minute. But 12 minutes later, Nicolas Giacopetti levelled the score.

Bangladesh took the lead through Topu just four minutes before the final whistle.

San Marino are at the bottom in the FIFA rankings, holding the 211th position. Bangladesh are 30 notches ahead of them.
