Dhaka, April 23 -- Bangladesh has sent emergency medicines and medical supplies to Iran as humanitarian assistance and solidarity support for civilians affected by the ongoing conflict.

On Thursday, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society handed over the consignment at the Iranian embassy in Dhaka during a formal ceremony, with officials from both sides in attendance.

Iran's Ambassador to Dhaka Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi received the supplies from Red Crescent Secretary General Kabir M Ashraf Alam, while Foreign Ministry Secretary Nazrul Islam represented the government.
