Dhaka, June 4 -- Bangladesh bowling coach Shaun Tait has resigned from his position citing family reasons, according to a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) statement.

The board said on Thursday that Tait had informed the board of his circumstances and had initially expressed a willingness to continue in the role on a reduced schedule.

However, both parties ultimately agreed that stepping down was the most appropriate course of action.

The BCB press note said the decision was reached amicably and with mutual understanding.

Tait, a former Australian fast bowler, joined Bangladesh's coaching staff in May 2025.
