Dhaka, June 2 -- The hanging body of a Bangladesh Bank additional director has been recovered from his home in Dhaka, police have said.

The dead was identified as Tanvir Hossain Shuvo, who lived in Mugda.

Motijheel Division Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahid Hossain said police recovered the partially decomposed body from his residence on Tuesday.

Neighbours alerted police after noticing a foul smell coming from the flat.

Police later broke open the door and found him hanging inside.
