Dhaka, March 26 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DB) has arrested former director general of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) retired lieutenant general Sheikh Mamun Khaled.

He was detained from Dhaka's Mirpur in the early hours of Thursday, DB Additional Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam said.

However, he did not immediately specify the case in which Mamun was arrested.
