Bangladesh, Aug. 21 -- Preparations are complete at Bangabhaban's Darbar Hall for the swearing-in of newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday evening.

Fakhrul is scheduled to take the oath at 7:30pm, with Acting Speaker Kayser Kamal administering it.

More than 1,200 guests have been invited to the ceremony, according to Cabinet Division officials.

"All preparations for the honourable president's swearing-in ceremony have been completed. Everything is ready," Presidential Press Secretary Md Sarwar Alam told bdnews24.com.

He said the Cabinet Division was overseeing the ceremony, which will be conducted by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani.
