Dhaka, Sept. 24 -- Adverse weather in Cox's Bazar's Moheshkhali is disrupting the transfer of imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) from ships to floating terminals, Petrobangla has said.

Meanwhile, gas supply from LNG has dropped by nearly 32 percent within three days to 686 million cubic feet (mmcfd). Total gas supply has also fallen to 2,301mmcfd.

According to Petrobangla data as of 6pm on Thursday, gas supply from domestic fields stood at 1,615mmcfd on the day.

Supply of regasified LNG (RLNG) from imported sources was 686mmcfd.

In a media statement, Petrobangla said that due to adverse weather in Moheshkhali, the transfer of imported LNG cargoes to floating terminals is being hindered. As a result, overall gas supply has decreased ...
