Australia take series lead after spin trio dismantles Bangladesh
Dhaka, June 17 -- Bangladesh endured a disappointing start to the T20 series as a batting collapse left them with too little to defend, allowing Australia to claim a 4-wicket victory and a 1-0 lead in the three-match contest.
The hosts were bowled out for 131, a target Australia chased down with 10 balls remaining in Chattogram on Wednesday.
Adam Zampa and debutant left-arm spinner Joel Davies led the way with three wickets each, while Matt Renshaw continued his impressive tour with two more scalps.
Bangladesh started positively through Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan before Tanzid fell for 10 off nine balls.
Saif followed for 10 off 14 after holing out to Renshaw, who had been introduced surprisingly during the powerplay.
