Dhaka, Sept. 26 -- The parents of murdered schoolboy Ishayat Shahriar Apratim have alleged that they are being harassed and subjected to abusive behaviour through mobile phone calls.

They also say false and defamatory claims involving Apratim and his family are being circulated on social media.

Fearing for her safety, Apratim's mother Nahida Begum, a teacher in the Bangla department at Comilla University, has switched off her mobile phone.

Apratim's father KM Firoz Shahriar filed a complaint (GD) with Cumilla Sadar South Police Station on Friday.
