Dhaka, April 30 -- American International University-Bangladesh has observed World Intellectual Property Day 2026 with a seminar and a rally.

The event, held on Apr 26, followed the global theme "IP and Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate".

The seminar, titled "Intellectual Property in Sports: Legal and Commercial Intersections", focused on the role of intellectual property in the sports sector, including legal and commercial aspects, read a media statement.

Mirza Golam Sarwar, deputy director at the Department of Patent, Industrial Design and Trademarks under the Ministry of Industries, spoke at the session, which included a Q&A session.
