Dhaka, Oct. 1 -- Air Astra has taken delivery of another new-generation ATR 72-600, bringing its fleet to six aircraft after doubling in size in a little over three months.

The aircraft landed at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday, the airline said in a media statement.

Air Astra added its previous ATR 72-600 on Aug 20. The airline described the three recent deliveries as a milestone in strengthening its operations.

The latest aircraft is powered by a Pratt & Whitney PW127XT engine and fitted with 70 Geven Neo Prestige seats.

Air Astra officials say the additional aircraft will help ease pressure on domestic operations and improve passenger comfort and safety.
