Dhaka, Jan. 2 -- Tania Rab, senior vice-president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD, has declared assets worth nearly 14 times more than those of her husband and party chief ASM Abdur Rab.

The affidavits filed with her nomination for the Lakshmipur-4 constituency in the general election show her annual also surpasses her husband's by several times.

Tania, a businesswoman by profession, earns an annual income of Tk 8.29 million, whereas her husband reports a yearly intake of Tk 2.6 million.

Her total asset valuation stands at Tk 140.8 million. In contrast, Abdur Rab -- the former DUCSU VP who famously hoisted the first national flag in 1971 -- holds assets valued at Tk 16.5 million.
