Dhaka, Dec. 21 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission has launched an investigation against 13 officials of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) on charges of acquiring illegal wealth.

ACC Deputy Director Md Akhtarul Islam shared the information on Sunday.

The anti-graft watchdog has directed its investigation officers to probe the allegations against these officials.

A senior ACC official said, "The officials are accused of abuse of power, money laundering, and acquiring assets beyond known income in the names of themselves and their wives."

The officials against whom the investigation has been initiated are NSI Additional Directors Md Azizur Rahman, MSK Shaheen, and Mohammad Zahir Uddin, Joint Directors Md Ismail Hossain, GM Russell ...
