Dhaka, March 3 -- The chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the two commissioners have resigned, marking the latest shake-up in key positions since the new government took office.

ACC chief Mohammad Abdul Momen and commissioners Mia Mohammad Ali Akbar Azizi and Hafiz Ahsan Farid met the cabinet secretary at the Secretariat on Tuesday afternoon. Their resignations were confirmed afterwards.

Speaking to bdnews24.com after submitting his resignation letter, Commissioner Ali Akbar Azizi said he had stepped down for personal reasons.

"I submitted my resignation for personal reasons. We worked for the past 15 months. Our performance will be judged by you," he said.
