Bangladesh, Sept. 15 -- Police have filed a case naming 90 people for disrupting law and order during the ongoing protest movement against the redrawing of a parliamentary seat in Faridpur's Bhanga.
Bhanga Police Station Sub-Inspector Habibur Rahman filed the case under the Law and Order Disruption Crimes (Speedy Trial) Act, 2002, on Sunday. Another 150 unidentified people were also named in the case, said station chief Md Ashraf Hossain.
According to the case dossier, the accused gathered in the Swadi area of Algi Union on the Dhaka-Khulna highway on the morning of Sept 11, under the leadership of MM Siddique Mia, to protest the redrawing of the Faridpur-4 (Bhanga-Charbhadrasan-Sadarpur) constituency.
