Bangladesh, Aug. 27 -- Bangladesh has recorded 868 fresh dengue hospitalisations in the past 24 hours, with no deaths reported during this period.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) put out the figure in a Thursday bulletin, covering admissions since Wednesday morning.

Of these, 68 were admitted under Dhaka North City Corporation and 98 under Dhaka South, with 150 more admitted in the rest of the division outside the two corporations.

By division, Barishal recorded 110 admissions, Chattogram 109, Khulna 205, Mymensingh 38, Rajshahi 73 and Rangpur 17.

Meanwhile, 865 patients were discharged in the same window.

The DGHS said 88 people have died of dengue this year, including 34 in August alone.
