Dhaka, Sept. 24 -- The Public Service Commission (PSC) has issued a circular for the 51st special Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exam to recruit 5,000 doctors for government hospitals.

The recruitment will include 4,700 assistant surgeons and 300 assistant dental surgeons under the BCS health cadre.

Candidates with MBBS, BDS or equivalent degrees can apply online from Oct 1 to Oct 25. The application fee has been set at Tk 200.

The exam is tentatively scheduled for November.

How Candidates Will Be Selected

Applicants will face a 200-mark preliminary exam followed by a 100-mark competency-based viva voce.

The preliminary test will allocate 20 marks each to Bangla, English, Bangladesh affairs and international affairs.
