Dhaka, Aug. 10 -- Five more people with measles symptoms have died across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, including three in the Dhaka Division.

During the same period, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed 163 new measles cases, according to the daily bulletin on Monday.

The health authority has been publishing measles data since Mar 15.

So far, 98 people have died of confirmed cases of measles, while another 780 people have died after developing symptoms consistent with the disease.

The Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number of deaths among patients with measles symptoms, at 341.
