Dhaka, June 28 -- The government has announced the final results of the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations for appointments to public sector jobs.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has recommended a total of 1,521 candidates for government jobs.

Of the candidates, 1,320 have been approved for cadre posts, while another 201 have been nominated for non-cadre positions.

The PSC released the results of the exam on Sunday afternoon.

PSC spokesman SM Matiur Rahman confirmed the results to bdnews24.com.

The PSC first issued the 47th BCS recruitment notice on Nov 28, 2024, seeking to fill 3,487 cadre and 201 non-cadre posts.

Online applications were due to open on Dec 10, but the process was suspended a day earlier.
