Bangladesh, July 5 -- A total of 438 people have died in road accidents in June, according to data from the Road Safety Foundation, a private organisation.

The highest number of accidents occurred in the Dhaka Division, the organisation said in its monthly accident report released on Sunday.

The Road Safety Foundation said 472 road accidents took place in the past month, killing 428 people and injuring 561 others.

Among the dead were 328 men, 44 women and 56 children.

The report was compiled based on data from nine national dailies, 17 national and regional online news portals, various electronic media, and the organisation's own information.
