Bangladesh, Sept. 18 -- Four people severely burnt in an explosion at a gas cylinder storage facility in Chattogram's Chandanaish have been transferred to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka for advanced treatment.

Six others remain under care at the Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

Dr S Khaled of the unit told bdnews24.com on Thursday that the four were moved to Dhaka because of the seriousness of their conditions.

The patients sent to Dhaka are Mahbubur Rahman, 45, Md Yusuf, 32, Md Idris, 27, and Riaz, 20.

Mahbub sustained burns on over 50 percent of his body, Yusuf 67 percent, Idris 60 percent and Riaz 40 percent.

All four are also suffering from injuries to their airway...
