Dhaka, Sept. 20 -- Four people have been killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a battery-run three-wheeler on the Patuakhali-Kuakata Highway. The bus crashed into a roadside ditch after the accident, injuring at least 35 passengers.

The accident occurred near the Payra Petrol Pump intersection in Patuakhali Sadar Upazila around 11:30pm on Saturday, according to Patuakhali Sadar Police chief Md Moniruzzaman.

The dead have been identified as 35-year-old Jahangir Howlader from the Sadar Upazila, 23-year-old Tithi from Bauphal Upazila, 50-year-old Quayyum Pyada and 40-year-old Shilpi Rani, both from Galachipa Upazila.
