Dhaka, June 9 -- Four people have died after a poultry-laden pickup truck crashed into the back of a bamboo-laden truck in Tangail's Sakhipur.

The accident occurred near Kalia Bazar on the Sakhipur-Sagardighi Road around 4:30am on Tuesday, according to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Al Mamun of Sakhipur Police Station.

The dead have been identified as pickup driver Noor Nabi, 64, from Jamalpur's Bakshiganj Upazila; his assistant Rafiqul, 18, who hails from Patnitala Upazila in Naogaon; Sagar, 22, from Netrokona's Kendua Upazila, and Sumon, 26, from Bhola Sadar Upazila.

The latter three have been identified with single names, and all four were travelling in the pickup truck.
