Bangladesh, Sept. 3 -- Three more people have died with measles symptoms in Bangladesh over a 24-hour period - two in the Dhaka Division and one in Sylhet. Meanwhile, 72 new cases of the viral infection have been confirmed.

The data was included in the daily measles bulletin from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday. The directorate has been tracking the outbreak of the disease since Mar 15.

The latest figures cover the 24-hour period from 8am on Wednesday to 8am on Thursday.

Since Mar 15, a total of 887 people have died with suspected measles symptoms across the country, while 99 deaths have been confirmed as measles-related.
