Dhaka, June 24 -- Bangladesh has recorded three more child deaths linked to measles in a single day, with 93 new cases confirmed in the same period.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) regular bulletin on measles said on Wednesday that 93 people have died of confirmed cases of measles across the country since Mar 15.

In addition, 596 people with suspected measles cases have also died in that time.

Dhaka Division logged the highest number of symptomatic fatalities at 254.

The death toll across other regions stands at 88 in Rajshahi, 75 in Sylhet, 50 in Chattogram, 39 in Barishal, 55 in Mymensingh, 27 in Khulna, and eight in Rangpur.
