Dhaka, June 23 -- Bangladesh has recorded three more child deaths linked to measles in a single day, with 126 new cases confirmed in the same period.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) regular bulletin on measles said on Tuesday that 93 people have died of confirmed cases of measles across the country since Mar 15.

In addition, 593 people with suspected measles cases have also died in that time.

Dhaka Division logged the highest number of symptomatic fatalities at 251.

The death toll across other regions stands at 88 in Rajshahi, 75 in Sylhet, 50 in Chattogram, 39 in Barishal, 55 in Mymensingh, 27 in Khulna, and eight in Rangpur.
