Dhaka, Feb. 11 -- A total of 26,334 members from law-enforcing agencies will be on duty in Cumilla to maintain security during the general election across its 11 parliamentary constituencies.
The force comprises 3,979 police members, 2,040 Army personnel, 400 Border Guard Bangladesh troopers, and 19,383 members of the Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP), Cumilla District Police Superintendent Md Anisuzzaman said.
At a briefing for police and Armed Police Battalion members at the Cumilla Police Lines on Tuesday, Anisuzzaman instructed officers to keep their body cameras active throughout their shifts.
