Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- A case has been filed against 20 BNP-leaning lawyers in Barishal, including the president of the district bar association, over allegations of boycotting courts, creating chaos in the courtroom, and behaving inappropriately with judges.
The case was lodged on Wednesday under the Speedy Trial Act at Kotwali Model Police Station by Rajib Majumdar, bench assistant of the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrates' Court in Barishal.
The key suspect, SM Sadiqur Rahman Lincoln, president of the Barishal District Bar Association, has been arrested and sent to jail through a court order.
