2 mild quakes in six hours
Dhaka, Oct. 4 -- Mild earthquakes have shaken different parts of Bangladesh in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Many places trembled twice within six hours, the Seismic Observatory and Research Centre in Bangladesh says.
Assistant Meteorologist Farzana Sultana said a mild tremor of magnitude 3.8 was recorded on the Tripura border, 164km from Dhaka, at 6:26am on Sunday.
An earlier mild quake struck at 12:12am on Sunday. Magnitude 4.8, it originated 443km southeast of Dhaka, in Myanmar's Mrauk-U town.
