Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- At least two people have died while one person has been injured as a truck carrying betel leaves veered off the road and crashed in Chattogram's Sitakunda.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Bashbaria area of Sitakunda Upazila, police said.

The dead were identified as Kamal Chowdhury, 53 and Sumon Chowdhury, 54. Both of them were residents of Haidgaon Union in Patiya Upazila.

All the victims are betel leaf farmers, locals said.
