Dhaka, April 9 -- Amid the countrywide outbreak, two 7-month olds have died while undergoing treatment for measles symptoms at Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
The District Civil Surgeon's Office announced the deaths on Thursday afternoon, saying 35 children were being treated across the district.
One infant has been identified only as Sabiha hailing from Madaripur's Shibchar Upazila.
The other is Ayatullah, also identified by a single name, a resident of Pangsa Upazila in Rajbari.
Civil Surgeon Mahmudul Hasan said Sabiha died on Wednesday and Ayatullah on Thursday.
In the last 24 hours, 13 patients were admitted to the medical college hospital and Faridpur General Hospital.
