Bangladesh, May 30 -- At least two young men have died after their motorcycle veered out of control, hit a palm tree, and fell into a pond in Netrokona's Kalmakanda.

Another passenger was critically injured.

The accident occurred on the Kalmakanda-Durgapur Road in the Rahimpur area of Nazirpur Union around 1:15am on Saturday, said Kalmakanda Police Station chief Abul Hashem.

The dead have been identified as Nirab Mia, 24, hailing from the Purba Bazar area of Kalmakanda Sadar Union, and Sohan Mia, 20, a native of the Ghoshpara area of the same union.

The injured Billal Mia, 18, is a resident of Ghoshpara village.
