Bangladesh, Aug. 18 -- Two people have died after the motorcycle they were riding fell into a roadside ditch in Chapainawabganj's Shibganj Upazila.

The accident occurred around 5:15am on Tuesday in the Muslimpur-Takshaldighi area, according to Shibganj Police Station Inspector Anisur Rahman.

The victims were identified as Md Abu Hayat, 35, and Md Habib, 20, both natives of Baliyadighi village in Shibganj Upazila.

Locals said the road had become risky as work on the construction of a culvert was under way. They believe this may have caused the accident.
