Dhaka, March 4 -- A total of 173 international flights have been cancelled at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport over the past five days as the conflict in the Middle East continues to disrupt regional air travel.

Airport authorities said 23 flights were cancelled on Saturday, 40 on Sunday, 46 on Monday and 39 on Tuesday.

Another 25 scheduled flights were cancelled on Wednesday.

The affected services include four flights of Qatar Airways, two of Kuwait Airways, two of Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways, eight of Air Arabia from Sharjah, five of Emirates and four of US-Bangla Airlines.
