Dhaka, June 6 -- Police have arrested 13 activists of the Bangladesh Chhatra League and Jubo League after they brought out a procession in Chattogram city to allegedly create violence as part of a conspiracy against the state and government.

The arrests were made in parts of the port city following the procession in the Barik Building area on Friday, the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) said in a statement on Saturday.

The CMP also seized two buses and recovered four pieces of white cloth, 10 sticks and 13 pieces of bricks "used during the procession" from the scene, it adds.
