Dhaka, Oct. 4 -- The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has raised the retail price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for October, with the price of the most widely used 12kg cylinder increasing by Tk 252 to Tk 1,837.

The new prices will take effect from 6pm on Sunday and remain in force until further notice, according to a BERC media statement.

The retail price of private LPG, including VAT, has been set at Tk 153.06 per kg for October, up Tk 20.94 from Tk 132.12 in September.

Under the latest adjustment, the price of a 5.5kg cylinder has been set at Tk 842, while 12.5kg, 15kg and 16kg cylinders will cost Tk 1,913, Tk 2,296 and Tk 2,449 respectively.
