Dhaka, April 1 -- A 10-month-old baby reportedly with measles symptoms has died at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura, where at least 10 children are being treated now for exhibiting symptoms of the airborne disease.

The child breathed her last in the Isolation Ward designated for measles patients early on Wednesday, said the hospital's deputy director Dr Md Manjur-e-Murshed.

Doctors identified the dead as Mosammet Humaira hailing from the district's Sherpur Upazila.

She was hospitalised on Tuesday.

The death occurred as the country reels from a measles outbreak, with multiple fatalities with and without symptoms reported so far.
