Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- After Friday prayers, a child suddenly asked Prime Minister Tareque Rahman: "Uncle, do you fast?"

Shaking the child's hand with a smile, the prime minister replied: "Me? Of course I fast."

He then went on to greet the other children one by one, shaking hands, patting a few on the head, and asking warmly: "Do you fast too?"

The children responded in unison, "We do!"

On Friday, after offering Jummah prayers at the Navy Headquarters Central Mosque in Banani, the prime minister spent some time chatting with children.

Since returning to the country from London, he has been offering Friday prayers at this mosque.
