Dhaka, Dec. 8 -- A Dhaka court has granted police three days to grill Nazrul Islam Mazumder, the chairman of NASSA Group, in connection with a murder case linked to the July Uprising.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah issued the remand order after hearing a plea filed by the investigation officer of the case on Monday.

During the hearing, Nazrul told the court that he was sick, adding: "I might have a heart attack during remand."

Gulshan Police Station Sub-Inspector Rezaul Karim had sought a 10-day remand for Nazrul in an application filed on Nov 7 over the murder of Kamal Hossain Sabuj during the July Uprising.
