Dhaka, March 22 -- Activists of the "banned" Bangladesh Chhatra League have returned to Dhaka University campus, staging their first procession in one and a half years to demand the withdrawal of sanctions and nationwide cases against their members.
The march began around 8:30am on Sunday in front of the Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, near the TSC intersection.
Around 30 activists took part, concluding with a brief demonstration near the Anti-Terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture.
The Chhatra League later shared a video of the procession on its verified Facebook page, showing members shouting slogans including their trademark rallying cries, "Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu".
