United Kingdom, Oct. 4 -- Sony is reportedly beginning to wind down certain PlayStation 4 features.

According to documentation obtained by Insider Gaming, Sony will begin removing access to several legacy PlayStation Network (PSN) services for new PS4 game submissions from spring 2026.

This means that any new title certified for the system after that date will no longer support specific online features.

The affected services include the Activity Feed Web API, Title Small Storage (TSS), Title User Storage (TUS), Users and Profiles, Word Filters, and the Shared Media Web API.

Sony has reportedly told developers that the move is designed to create "a more unified and scalable foundation across console generations."
