United Kingdom, Oct. 3 -- Perplexity has launched its Comet browser worldwide for free.
Originally introduced in July for subscribers paying up to $200 a month, Comet is now available to everyone at no cost, with the AI start-up pledging that the browser will remain free forever.
Unlike traditional browsers, Comet builds AI directly into the browsing experience.
Perplexity has described it as a personal assistant that "travels the web with you," helping with everyday tasks such as shopping, booking trips, and research.
The browser integrates Perplexity's AI search and chat tools, offering contextual answers and automation while users navigate the web.
