United Kingdom, April 7 -- OpenAI has encouraged companies to trial a four-day working week as AI use grows in the workplace.

The ChatGPT manufacturer's proposals have set out a range of ideas to enable society to adjust the age of AI - something it explained will bring both benefits and disruptions to our lives.

Among the firm's suggestions were creating more job opportunities in people-facing sectors such as childcare, education and healthcare.

OpenAI explained that its initial set of ideas - which are chiefly aimed at the US - aim to encourage discussion about the action required as AI systems become more capable.
