United Kingdom, Oct. 29 -- OpenAI is making an aggressive push to expand its footprint in India, announcing that it will offer a free year of ChatGPT Go to users across the country starting November 4.

The offer coincides with the company's first DevDay Exchange event in India and marks its latest attempt to capture one of the world's fastest-growing AI markets.

ChatGPT Go - launched in August as OpenAI's most affordable paid tier at Rs.399 (around $4.80) per year - provides higher message limits, image generation, and larger file uploads than the free version.

The promotion highlights India's growing importance to the San Francisco-based company.
