United Kingdom, Sept. 11 -- Nintendo has reached a settlement with Genki over the company's Switch 2 mockup at CES 2025.

The gaming giant sued the accessories manufacturer for trademark infringement in May after it shared renders of a Switch 2 "mockup" months before official images were revealed by the publisher.

Now, a US judge has ordered the company to pay damages as part of a settlement.

Under the ruling, damages must be paired, while Genki has denied obtaining a Switch 2 before the reveal or launch.

The company also faces a permanent injunction which will prevent it from using any of Nintendo's logos or designs, or anything which could cause confusion.
