United Kingdom, Nov. 5 -- Meta has officially launched WhatsApp for Apple Watch, giving users the ability to read, reply to, and record messages directly from their wrist without needing an iPhone.

The standalone app marks a major step forward for WhatsApp's smartwatch presence, bringing it closer in functionality to Apple's own Messages app.

The new app supports call notifications, full message previews, voice messages, emoji reactions, and chat history access - all secured by WhatsApp's signature end-to-end encryption.

Users can even type out messages or respond using dictation and voice recordings, with images and stickers now appearing in higher resolution for a smoother media experience.
