United Kingdom, Oct. 13 -- Apple has officially confirmed it is shutting down its long-running Clips app, marking the end of the company's short-form video editor eight years after its debut.
Launched in 2017, Clips was designed to make video creation quick and accessible for iPhone and iPad users, offering an easy way to add text, filters, stickers, and music to short clips for sharing on social media.
At the time, Apple promoted it as a fun, mobile-first alternative to traditional video-editing tools like iMovie, positioning it as a creative outlet for everyday users.
